Bryn Dodson is a fiction writer, creative director and copywriter, and founder of the Substack publication Kitten Authority.

Currently a Creative Director at Code and Theory, Bryn works with brands from definition to execution. His experience spans digital product, campaign, branding, and experiential.

Bryn’s clients have included Citadel, Diageo, Microsoft, Peterbilt, Pfizer, Service King, SONY, and Thomson Reuters. Previously, Bryn led the copywriting practice at a mid-sized digital agency, where he scripted a Super Bowl radio ad for Service King which won the Westwood One Awards of Sound.

 
 
 

Bryn is a graduate of New York University’s MFA program in Creative Writing, where he was a finalist for the Axinn Foundation/E.L. Doctorow Fellowship. His writing has appeared in Westerly, Oxonian Review, [PANK], Birdcoat Quarterly, Solar, and elsewhere.

Prior to winding up in advertising, Bryn practiced law in Western Australia and England, primarily in general litigation, insurance, and insolvency.

Bryn is an obsessive cook, middling guitarist, and schnauzer enthusiast, and has made it his life’s work to convince Americans that cricket is an exciting game. Born and raised in Perth, Western Australia, he lives in Brooklyn, New York.
